Poem: My Right

note: This poem must not be copied and pasted anywhere else without the owners permission!!             My Right Why should I know my right? In a society where things are never right Facing problems left and right With stronger hands I am held tight Because I can not fight Why should I know my right When I am not made to fight Feeling cheated by their sight Hiding around like a rat When all they want is ‘Be quite’ Why should I know my right? In a place where there is no life No food, no water, no light Like zombie, I pretend to be alive Later they shout ‘You are alright’ Why should I know my right? Where corruption is no longer plight Millionaires leaving by flight Everyday my soul at alert Boom!!! I run for my life Written by: Omotayo Suleman

Poem: Let Us Wake-Up

note: this poem must not be copied and pasted anywhere else without owners permission!!                       Let us wake-up Over five decades we still sleep On a bed socked of our urine Salivating as we snore Carried away by black illusion Into the world our fantasies Through the road of positive imagination Wonderful world we see in our dreams Filled with honey and cream Making desert turn rain forest Letting our touches gives gold In our hell we now see paradise It is right the time! Let us wake up From self accursed slumber With strong determination Only then can we achieve great satisfaction For a brighter future That awaits us the new generation  Written by:  Omotayo Suleman

Gradually, he began to get scared and wasn’t comfortable as the mid-night breeze blew harder. He slowly walked down the road not knowing where to go in particular, he hears as thunder strikes with sharp lightning which only brightens his environment every second. He was able to see buildings, cars, shops….he saw dead bodies laying in pool of blood “o my God….where am I?” he screamed as he rushes to go see who the dead victims might be. He could not identify any of the seven dead bodies but they all looked familiar. Gradually the rain which started as drops of water now got heavier, this made him panic and began to run seeking for shelter...
